Can I participate in Early Voting?
In Orange County, you can participate in Early Voting at any one of these sites, no matter where in the county you’re registered:

 

  • Middletown – Senior Center, 62-80 W. Main St.
  • Newburgh – Activity Center, 401 Washington St.
  • Port Jervis – Delaware Engine #2, 22 Hammond St.
  • Cornwall – Ambulance Building, 1 Clinton St.
  • Goshen – Caroline Building, 23 Hatfield Ln.
  • Montgomery – Senior Center, 36 Bridge St.

  REQUEST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT  

To request an absentee ballot by mail, online, by email, or by fax, your absentee ballot application must be received by your county board of elections no later than October 26. To request an absentee ballot in person, your application must be received by your county board of elections no later than November 4.

 

To be sure your vote is counted, postmark your absentee ballot no later than November 5, or hand-deliver your absentee ballot to your county board of elections or local poll site no later than November 5.

Am I Registered to Vote?
If you are not sure whether you are registered to vote, use the “Are You Registered to Vote” tool to confirm.

 

How Can I Register to Vote?
If you are not registered, or you have recently moved into the district, you can register online through New York Register to Vote. The whole registration process takes approximately 5 minutes.

 

If you prefer to mail in your registration, applications must be received by your county board of elections no later than October 26, 2024 to be eligible to vote on November 5.

 

If you prefer to register in person, you may register at your county board of elections or any state agency participating in the National Voter Registration Act. Your application must be received no later than October 26, 2024.

 

Can I Change My Voter Registration Address?
Yes. Notices of change of address from registered voters received by October 26, 2024 by a county Board of Elections must be processed and entered in the records in time for the General Election.
