  REGISTER TO VOTE  

Am I Registered to Vote?
If you are not sure whether you are registered to vote, use the “Are You Registered to Vote” tool to confirm.

 

How Can I Register to Vote?
If you are not registered, or you have recently moved into the district, you can register online through New York Register to Vote. The whole registration process takes approximately 5 minutes.

 

If you prefer to mail in your registration, applications must be received by your county board of elections no later than October 26, 2024 to be eligible to vote on November 5.

 

If you prefer to register in person, you may register at your county board of elections or any state agency participating in the National Voter Registration Act. Your application must be received no later than October 26, 2024.

 

Can I Change My Voter Registration Address?
Yes. Notices of change of address from registered voters received by October 26, 2024 by a county Board of Elections must be processed and entered in the records in time for the General Election.

  EARLY VOTING  

Can I participate in Early Voting?
Voters registered in Orange County will be able to participate in Early Voting at the sites listed below. If you vote during the Early Voting period, you are not eligible to vote on Election Day.

Middletown: Senior Center – 62-80 W Main St.
Newburgh: Activity Center – 401 Washington St.
Port Jervis: Howard Wheat Engine Co. – 31 Owen St.
Goshen: Caroline Building, 23 Hatfield Ln.
New Windsor: Community Center – 555 Union Ave.
Monroe: Town Hall – 1465 Orange Tpke.
Montgomery: Senior Center – 36 Bridge St.
Warwick: Senior Center – 132 Kings Hwy.

When are Early Voting poll sites open?
Dates and hours are consistent across Early Voting sites:
October 26 & 27, 9am to 5pm
October 28 & 29, 12pm to 8pm
October 30 & 31, 8am to 4pm
November 1, 7am to 3pm
November 2, 9am to 5pm
November 3, 8am to 4pm

  REQUEST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT  

To request an absentee ballot by mail, online, by email, or by fax, your absentee ballot application must be received by your county board of elections no later than October 26. To request an absentee ballot in person, your application must be received by your county board of elections no later than November 4.

 

To be sure your vote is counted, postmark your absentee ballot no later than November 5, or hand-deliver your absentee ballot to your county board of elections or local poll site no later than November 5.
